Earring Knife Rack

I have always had a problem keeping track of my accessories, especially earrings. So I thought and thought of a way to solve this and finally came up with an idea! Now I want to show you how I organize my earrings, hair clips, headbands, etc.

I bought a magnetic knife rack from IKEA and slapped my jewelry on. It makes it very easy to see what you have, and very fast to grab and wear. It also makes it easy to put up your jewelry after wearing it.

You can find these racks as cheap as $5 (less money than a pair of earrings). You could even get creative and put several in a type of design or pattern that adds to your room decor, possibly even paint them...hmmm.....

I love mine, and think you might love one too!

Fun with your kids!

Here is an idea for BIG fun with your kids for a great price!

Above you see a roll of newspaper paper (you can get these at local newspapers for $3 to $5 usually, ask for the Newspaper roll ends). You also see a picture of different things I found around the house shaped like circles (FREE). I used this activity to try and the my son about the circle shape. He loves drawing and loves it even more on this huge roll of paper. He really likes to have me trace his hands, feet, and body on it. It lasts forever and really makes kids excited, helps them use their imagination, and it's really cheap!

If you're in the Nampa- Caldwell, area, I know that the Idaho Press Tribune has a GREAT deal, where you pay 36.00 for the 1st 6 months =6.00 month (.20 a paper) for the weekly paper AND then you can get either 3 additional Sundays for an additional $7.80 a month(.60 a paper)
OR 5 additional Sunday papers for an additional $13.00 a month ( .60 each)
which is great! You can go to Walmart and get their Sunday's for .85 each, but you're almost always missing a insert!

If you haven't seen this is is a good movie. It's very colorful and entertaining for adults as well as older children (over 3 or 4 maybe). It has a good message.

Oh also I heard that Old Navy is going to have a HUGE sale on their Halloween costumes this Friday and Saturday. I would go on-line and check it out if I were you. Perhaps get a few costumes for next year REALLY cheap.

Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure

Disney has a coupon for $10 off this Tinkerbell DVD/Blu-ray combo set. Go tho this link to find the coupon. I have see this movie and think it's cute and teaches lots of morals especially to girls.

I would try using it at Wal-mart, K-mart OR Toys R'Us. You might be able to call the store ahead of time or look on line to see what prices they offer on this product. I got my snow white one at Albertsons last time because they offered other free product when you bought the movie plus I could use the coupon so it worked out fine. So look around. Mine says it expires on Oct. 31, 2009.

Some books that make me happy!

This year I have had the chance to read or listen to many books. These are some of my favorites! I would put all of these in my family library for my children to read in the future. I have started getting some of these by using my on-line survey points and asking for them for gifts for my birthday, Christmas, etc. I also look at used book stores. This way i can build up our families little library with our favorites and not spend a lot of money.

Until I get all the ones I want though the public library is a GREAT FREE resource for checking out, books, CDs, DVDs, etc. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus them i can see what ones are worth spending my time and money on because I can read them first for free.

Rain, rain stay today...

So it's been raining non-stop in my neck of the wood, but I love it! It has kept our house cool, and the air clean smelling. It also makes everything grow really fast.

The down side is my little boy can't go play but I have been too tired to go play anyway so it's okay for now.
