Here are a few pics of the last party that my sisters and I put together for under $40. We planned for about 15-20 guests. We had extra food to restock the trays as they were emptied.
We had cupcakes, carmel/chocolate covered pretzels, cake balls, Italian sodas, gingerbread cookies, and some yogurt covered almonds. We made almost all of it ourselves to save money. We also tried to use some things that we already had around the house to put the desserts on and to decorate with.
We never spend over $50 on a party, so that I can justify this "hobby" to my husband. He just doesn't understand my need to plan parties, haha! I you would like to see where i get my inspiration for parties from look up Amy Atlas OR follow me on facebook (Lykkelig Kvinde) or twitter (lykkeligkvinde).

FIVE ways to save for the Holidays!
LOOK FOR COUPONS that work WITH holiday SALES!
Here are five ways to do this:
1. While shopping always ask sales people if they have a coupon book for their store. Some of these coupons may work on Black Friday thus making your savings even greater.
I know Gap has one right now with some great coupons.
2. Look for coupons in the mail. A lot of stores will send out coupons this season. You may be able to use some of these on top of other sales this season.
I got a coupon last week in the mail from Kohl's. It was for $10 off any purchase. It helped me get a great deal!
3. Look on-line for coupons. If you have something you want to buy make sure you check for coupons that could work in that store or on that item. For example, if you want to buy books look for coupons and codes to use at Amazon, or Borders.
4. Make sure to sign up for Krazy Coupon Lady and Pinching Your Pennies daily/weekly updates. These type of sites will help you pair sales and coupons together.
5. Use the Black Friday sites to your advantage. By knowing the sales ahead of time you can plan for the best deals.
Good luck! If you have questions post them on my facebook page. Find me under Lykkelig Kvinde.

Dance off the pounds!
Is it hard finding time to exercise with a million children running around your house? Here's an idea to help you get your 30 minutes in...
I have recently discovered what I call, THE DAILY DANCE PARTY! I find 1-5 songs that my children like and make a short 30 min play list. Then we have a major dance party every afternoon!
Yep, my kids are learning moves from the 90's and I'm getting some exercise! It may not be quite as effective as a 30min run but it's a blast!
How do you sneak in exercise?

Earring Knife Rack
I have always had a problem keeping track of my accessories, especially earrings. So I thought and thought of a way to solve this and finally came up with an idea! Now I want to show you how I organize my earrings, hair clips, headbands, etc.
I bought a magnetic knife rack from IKEA and slapped my jewelry on. It makes it very easy to see what you have, and very fast to grab and wear. It also makes it easy to put up your jewelry after wearing it.
You can find these racks as cheap as $5 (less money than a pair of earrings). You could even get creative and put several in a type of design or pattern that adds to your room decor, possibly even paint them...hmmm.....
I love mine, and think you might love one too!

Food co-op near you!
Get a laundry basket of fruits and veggies for $15 - $25!
--------------------------------------------
Here is a great opportunity to those who live in Idaho, Arizona, Utah, Washington, Nevada, Texas, and Wyoming. It's called Bountiful Baskets, it's a food co-op. The following is from their website:
"Sally Stevens and Tanya Jolly started Bountiful Baskets Food Co-op in May of 2006. It was a winning combination from the beginning. Tanya and Sally both had experience running their own small food co-ops that were not web based. As their small co-ops grew it challenged them to think of a way to keep up as more families were wanting to save money on healthy food. Adding a little bit of e-commerce technology to the mix was just the trick. Since May of 2006 BBFC has grown from 2 sites and an average of 120 families a cycle participating, to over hundreds of sites in seven states and around 70,000 participating families! In June of 2008 BBFC started to offer 100% organic baskets every other week.
The Co-op offers a conventional produce basket very other week which is generally ½ fruit and ½ veggies. The monetary contribution is $15.00 and is generally worth $50.00 retail. Organic baskets require a contribution of $25 and are usually about the same amount of produce as the conventional baskets. To participate visit http://www.BountifulBaskets.org and check the schedule to see when your state is available to make your monitary contribution using a debit or credit card. Then, pick up your basket on Saturday morning at the time and place you chose when you contributed!"
If you would like to find a location near you check out their site at: http://www.bountifulbaskets.org/

Review: Baby Product
This product is called, The Baby Nasal Aspirator, made by BabyComfyNose. I discovered this product when I was looking for nose aspirators for my daughter. She has the hardest nose to clean out and gets mucus in it a lot! It has been miserable for her and I. I first looked at ones that were electric and ran on batteries. I worried that these types wouldn't allow me to know when to stop, and knew that it would cost to keep the batteries fresh. Then I saw a couple that didn't require batteries, this was one of them. I started comparing them and found that for this one I would not need to buy a filter, plus is had great reviews.
So far I LOVE it! However, this is not the people who get queasy stomachs easy. You have to be the sucking power which may gross some people out. That really is the only con I can think of though, and I think it's just a mental thing for the person sucking out the nose. I like that you can see what is coming out so you know that you actually got everything. I also like that I never need batteries, it's easy to operate, easy to clean, and can be taken anywhere. The price isn't bad either.
If you want to learn more go to the site below. I also found that the Amazon reviews were helpful.

Fun with your kids!
Here is an idea for BIG fun with your kids for a great price!
Above you see a roll of newspaper paper (you can get these at local newspapers for $3 to $5 usually, ask for the Newspaper roll ends). You also see a picture of different things I found around the house shaped like circles (FREE). I used this activity to try and the my son about the circle shape. He loves drawing and loves it even more on this huge roll of paper. He really likes to have me trace his hands, feet, and body on it. It lasts forever and really makes kids excited, helps them use their imagination, and it's really cheap!
Send me your cheap but fun ideas to do with kids!
Great site!
This is a great site I just saw. It has cute ideas and step by step instructions for several things. The picture above is one cake on their site.

I LOVE baby leggings!
My new baby has the littlest legs known to mankind (she was a preemie). Her legs and feet look ridiculous in little girl tights. It's also very hard to find socks little enough to fit her long thin feet. However, I found another solution. If I put socks on her feet and then put baby legging on pulling the end of them just over her heel the socks stay on and she has cute colored leggings that work for dresses and when I just put her in a onesie. I Love it! I also love that it makes diaper changing easy.
I found a pair at a used clothing store and decided to try them now I am hooked! So I have looked up a few sites that have instruction on how to make them yourself. Here is my favorite. If you want to see more just type "How to make baby leggings" into google search.

The Honey-moon is OVER!
As i got closer to moving and having our baby I was too but out to keep up with couponing. I have still not picked up again where I left off since we have not officially moved to our new place yet. However, I would like to catch the fire and excitement again once we are settled.
I have been thinking a lot about this lately milling it around in my mind about HOW I would get all excited again and then I saw this post by the Krazy Coupon Lady. So if you have had a burn out on coupons, go take a peek at what she has to say.
Here is the link.
